Our Loch Arkaig OspreyCam is now live! Arkaig ospreys Louis and Aila raised a single chick in 2017, a male named Lachlan. They returned in spring 2018 for a second season and laid three eggs, but sadly a hungry pine marten stole the clutch. The adults remained around the nest and provided us with plenty of entertainment and interesting osprey behaviour. We hope to see them back at their nest soon! Watch the hatchling perk up and turn itself around to receive its first meal alongside its 3-day-old sibling. A visible pip (or break in the egg) was seen overnight, and the chick was first seen working its way out of the egg at 3:45 AM. One egg remains!
