Rare footage shows deep-sea predation, as an Atlantic Midshipman fish (Porichthys plectrodon) laid in wait before grabbing a barracudina when it came too close. This fish has some of the fastest strikes of any fish and is an ambush hunter, sitting and waiting to attack. The predator pulled the prey back into its burrow, leaving behind swirling sand.
