Racist video is merely the latest in a long line of Trump’s ugly social media posts
The White House has belatedly backed down from a racist video shared on President Donald Trump’s social media feed after blowback from Republicans.
Donald Trump posted a series of conspiracy theories, jabs at California Governor Gavin Newsom, and praise for himself in a late night Truth Social firestorm. The president reiterated a bogus claim that the 2020 election was rigged against him among reshares of Fox News clips and claims of ties
The social media platform X reportedly will pay President Donald Trump $10 million to settle a lawsuit over suspension of his account when it was called Twitter and not owned by Elon Musk.
Multiple GOP members of the Senate and House joined their Democratic colleagues in voicing disgust and criticism at the post and urged the president to remove it. Trump declined to apologize, saying he did not see the racist portion of the video when he passed it on to staff.
